PDPM Resources
The Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) is the new reimbursement system that Medicare will use to determine payments for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) beginning October 1, 2019. PDPM replaces the current Resources Utilization Groups (RUGs) model and is consistent with the CMS priority to move toward “patient-centered” reimbursement models that match payment rates to patients’ needs.
